    To me, its a hobby, a pastime, to write short stories. I base them on silly events of my own life. Often, they become fictionalized. I write for my own pleasure, it gives me a feeling of accomplishment, and I enjoy loosing myself in a story. I give the stories to my adult daughters for them...

    Military, US Civil War. Soldiers had long hair and beards(Grant), how did this affect
