probably not. it sounds like some of the liquid got into the phone and it may mean u might need to get a new one. Of course it is possible that theres a warranty on the phone depending on where u got it from
it should. i used my cingular phone over there when i was on vacation, but u should ensure that u have nationwide long distance, and that you wont be charged roaming for placing calls in hawaii
for cheap usb cables, i would try ebay. u can buy some of them for $.01, and those usually seem to be the more reliable ones. whether its mac compatible or not i'll look into for u but i honestly have no idea
uhh......i know that my T616, while cingular branded, was unlocked and couldnt connect to any data things. but if u go to the SE website, i found a section where it would send and automatically install the settings u need to have the data functions work. dunno if they do the same for that phone...
if you call cingular and tell them you're going out of the country and would like an unlock code in order to use a prepaid sim, they will usually send the code within a couple days to a week
if i remember right, ur phone uses .imy ringtones. to get these onto your phone, u either need a data cable, or a bluetooth cable on ur computer. I can send u a pack of .imy ringtones in a zip to ur pm if u like
no its not a matter of updating the firmware. you would have to actually hack and modify the firmware for the s710. i've seen a couple articles on the net about it, but if u make a mistake doing it, you can potentially ruin ur phone
