I was told rubber loses air naturally with time, they are gatorskin tires on a 1996 cannondale R300 aluminum road bike. I rode a 200 miler on this bike and the pressure kept dropping from 120 lbs to 80 lbs pressure between fill-ups. Why? Is it pressure put on the front tire? I don't ride it but...
They are like $80-$90 for a 170-200 mile ride! Why so much? And how can I affordably pursue my passion of cycling in a mass group?
I don't have a job anymore so it's such and such college coming up not sure whether to buy textbooks or cycling registrations. Summer's a wasting anyways.
...this summer? Should I go on an $86 bike ride when I have college coming up, should I work this summer?
I live with my family, I am 19 year old guy. I just did the Seattle to Portland (STP) ride, 202 miles on my road bike in one day!! It is wonderful. I love to ride. I can ride alone for free...
Yesterday on the Seattle to Portland ride my bike chain broke due to a worn crankshaft. But in the fixing process, my hands touched my jersey, brand new nice jersey! A fellow cyclist who helped get the bike fixed said to use ether (chemical) and test it on a small spot on the jersey first. Where...

I'm 19 so it's kind of like - To do or NOT to do?? Haha. Problem is I have REALLY hairy legs, so idk. Sometimes it's just a cyclist thing, for looks/help with first aid.
...ride 2009? I am getting a bike jersey, have everything else. BUT, my registration fee covers stops for food and water at the 5 main stops. Do these stops provide anything else besides water?? Something with electrolytes in it? I have gatorade for my first water bottle, but I am only carrying...

It seems like during school I wanted to be able to drive having taken the bus so much/biking. But not it's summer and I just want to rest/be a homebody, and I don't go anywhere but once or twice a week for $160/month + gas money. I pay $80, my mom pays $80. I'm 19. I just won a...
another town? I live in the country and will go to college in the city 60 miles away. I might as well work at my college or something. Me - 19 years. I just quit my job, maybe not a good move due to conflict with boss but it was only one day a week. However, I could work three-four days a week...
case I need it? The official STP website also says to bring along any medications, but how? I can't carry anything with me on my bike. Is there any way that they officially do it, besides maybe having a family member of mine carry supplies in their car and maybe stop at the stops that I want...
