    What are some important questions to ask before I buy and sign a cell phone contract?

    I thought I covered the basics like roaming, international, texing, etc. What else should I look out for?

    Do I need a data plan if I have access to wifi hot spots? Verizon?

    Simple question I guess for all services providers and cell phones, but do I need to have a data plan if I have constant access to wifi hot spots? I figure I could save money and only use my phone around wifi hot spots but does using the internet force me to have a data plan even with wifi access?
