    What amp should I use with this sub?

    Im thinking about buying 2 Rockford Fosgate P3D212 12" 1000w subwoofer, but Im so confused on what amp to get? I dont know how much power the sub needs because it says its 1000w but it also says 500w RMS, and I dont know what the difference is? Any suggestions on cheap amps?
