    help with iphone 3gs -no sim card?

    i'm going to buy an iphone from this guy on craigslist its a 3gs 16gb.but i want to use it as an ipod touch w/camera not an iphone.but i do not have at&t or tmobile i have sprint.so will the iphone work without inserting a simcard? if its jailbroken or unlocked?

    will my check card/debit card work at any atm machine?

    i have american savings bank, do i need to go to the american savings bank atm machine its far away can i go to the one at the gas station to withdraw money but thats not american savings?can you use any atm machine?
