    I used to be the GM of a dealership. Buy a EX250, Buell blast (500cc) or (slightly taller but you wont grow out of them) Ninja 650 (depending on your stature), SV650, EX500 For the gear, any big name brand with armor is best. Try it on before you buy. It should fit snug (not tight, not loose).
