i can't seem to find this specification in the manual, which to me seems dumb. i found somewhere that told me .044" and the plugs i've been looking at online come gapped to .04". i'd like to know for sure before i go and stick new ones in.

I mostly just need to know how to get the face plate off the center console. i need to know where any screws, etc. are located because i don't want to break anything.

i don't really know if you can change that. but i know that in all the cars I've ever driven the stereo always goes out when you start the car but turns back on afterwards. If the car doesn't cut power to the stereo and just mutes it. then i would think an after market stereo would change that...
