    Perception of time...............................?

    If one looks at a timer counting backwards, how does this affect his perception of time? For example suppose a person sets a timer at 10 minutes. How does his perception of time compare if he looks at the timer occasionally versus not at all? Does time seem to go by quicker in the former case?
