Ok, Dude. The bike market is so wild and wooly. You can get a bike for under a hundred bucks, or you can spend thousands and thousands. Don't, I MEAN DON'T!!! Don't waste money putting parts on a cheapy bike. You're better off to get a new or newer bike that's built with better quality...
Go to the clutch lever, and back outwards on the adjusting barrel. SOunds like your clutch cable needs the slack taken out. Your clutch is not completely disengaged, get it??? TT

If you don't have a set of measuring calipers, you won't be able to easily tell 26.6mm from 26.8mm. I think the bike shop is your next stop; after the donut shop, of course! Have fun.
