Kilobytes are not minutes, they are data charges. Call the CARE department. If you agree to a price plan change the representative will backdate your rate to the previous month, add a data package and poof...the charges will be gone.
Take the phone apart and cover everything in a bowl of rice. Let it dry out in the rice for 24 hours. If after that it does not work.......I hope you insured it.
Give it up, your parents know a good buy. Sprint is cheaper and while the iPhone has been a highly successful handset AT&T has admitted that their network is having difficulty keeping up with the demand. Sprint is rapidly building out a 4G network. I'd go with a Pre or a Hero.
