i have nokia 5230 with mobilicity. i have no problem to connect to my laptop through data cable and i can get interent on my laptop from mobilicity network. it is very straight forward. what you have to do is to download nokia 7.1 pc suite and not the ovi suite which is for syn and mangement...

Yes. When it tells you to select an access point just select a wifi one. Wifi act the same way as data packets do. @Phongables I use Fring. It's free, supports file transfer, and supports voice calls with skype and google talk

i know a lo of hofo-ers were not impressed with nokia making the n97 their key release of 2009 as many were hoping for a new outstanding e series phone like an e90 upgrade, but if the final release is as quick as the video and the proto that gwapz has confirmed, once the build quality is good...
