I have a generic unlocked NAM N86. After the upgrade to v21, I get something like this too. When I turn the phone off, there's a lag where the graphics are all chopped up, showing part of the messaging screen at the top. It's a bit weird. But overall I feel like v21 is an improvement over v11...

The X1 was a big disappointment and you're right, it doesn't take much to kill it. But still, this looks targeted at that. Similar UI and form factor.
