The Hero imo is a better phone. I like listening to Pandora and browse the web at the same time, check emails, reply to text, etc... without closing/pausing Pandora. Can't do that with an iPhone. Yeah, I tried the backgrounder app from Cydia.. iPhone can't handle multitasking without crashing...

BlackBerries sync extremely well with Outlook, and will handle notes, tasks, calendar, and of course, email extremely well. I would add one in there and consider it.

The chances of data going through are the same but the potential for more data to go through is greater in 3G. Just delete all your access points or if you want to keep them for emergencies just edit them with the word "off" appended to the end of the settings. So you can go back and delete it...
