Would you go to the dealership to have your car repaired?

Dealers are generally higher priced from higher overhead, but you must relize a lot of chains both in the U.S. and Canada, deal on sales. A lot of specials are really designed to get you in the door, then "upsell you" A smaller independent shop with a qualified and licensed mechanic is the best...

Try an automotive machine shop, or a Mazda dealer (believe it or not) last recourse auto jink yard. Yes you can get them in Canada, don't give up so easy.

Are 1986 Dodge Aries hard to maintain?

Had an 85 2.2 engine great car put on over 500,000 miles on original transmission..automatic, 2 sets of struts, 3 sets of brake rotors on the front. Replaced original engine with a used one at 210,000 miles and drove it until it fell victim to rust at about 507,000. Just service it well...

Dodge Durango Front Passenger Window Removal... '99-03?

Take a look at the window track frame and look for 2 mounting nuts. Most newer windows have holes in the glass and bolt direct to the track. When you get the replacement glass it will probably make it simple for you. I have done a few Chrysler front windows and they are not that hard...

1991 Ford Escort Wagon Failed NJ Inspection?

What you need is a brake job, exhaust system, and a suspension check and replacement plus a few front end parts. Cost..ball park close or better than a grand. Better to leave it and move up to a newer one since you were going to anyway. Maybe sell off some parts from the old girl good luck.

    Dodge - Three Choices?

Take the truck, why? Because it has a full frame. Because done up, it is rarer than the cars. It is always saleable. If you wanted to do a frame off restore you can the other 2 are rotisserie.

1998 Ford Taurus power steering problems. Can anyone tell me where it might

If the rest oif the car is worth the fix, install an exchange rebuilt steering rack, because you can't successfully reseal these things. The rack is wore out and the seals can't hold the pressure from worn bores and bushings, ok. good luck

Repair or Junk 2003 ford focus?

You have to decide if the engine and the rest of the car is worth another 2000 investment. It's a lousy deal had the same thing happen to me years ago. One advantage is you'll know the trans is good if you go ahead with the repair. good luck with it.

    My '92 Ford F-150 won't start! HELP!?

Sounds like a fusible link went out or you lost a ground. Look for the chassis to cab ground being broken off. It's a small braided cable running off the firewall to the engine. Check all your harness plugs. To go out that quick it's something small and aggrivating.
