My husband and I have a year old hypo hogg island boa who doesn't seem interested at all in the male mouse we bought for him to eat this week. We have always gotten females in the past, and I was wondering if the scent of the male is too strong or something. He didn't get food last weekend...
I love asparagus with salmon, which I bake 10 minutes with a little olive oil and salt and pepper. For whitefish you can't go wrong with sauteed and seasoned summer squashes (in season and cheap!) or baked butternut squash, which you can make slightly sweet or savory.
I have a hot water bath canner, and I'm hoping I'm able to use it to can salsa, which I really want to do. Does anyone have any tips about how to do this best? I don't need a recipe, just timing and process.
