    can you adjust the valves on a 2005 v-star yamaha warrior?

    Just want to know if I can adjust the valves on my yamaha 1700cc motorcycle. I use to get on a good day 45 mpg. Now if I'm lucky I get 40mpg. It also seems to me the bike runs a litter rougher than it use to. Bought the bike with 1000 miles on it. Now it has 19000 miles on the odometer.
