I think you are on the right track...you want to write a book about a kids perspective right? That's a great idea, maybe you should start with one solid topic, or make up a story but if you wanted to do it on different things, you could by doing short stories and placing them into categories...

If you have dance shoes I would wear those, but anything comfortable to work out in would be good. Wear loose fitting clothes or work-out clothes that are comfortable. I would bring a water bottle. I think everything you listed sounds great! Have fun!
