    1.5 farad car audio capacitor?

    i bought a 1.5 off my friend and i hooked it up it dont charge i left it hooked up for like 4 hours tryin to charge it then it wouldnt but befor when i was hookin it up wires touched and the red light came on on it and a noise like little screechin so i was wonderin if its burnt out or can bereset?
