You haven't heard of "hot pads" ??? What were you thinking??? Even a tablecloth would have buffered the table against the heat damage. It will take almost a re-finishing to bring this poor table around now. What a shame!!
I would choose the kind of flowers and shrubs you prefer, then paint your siding to coordinate with your plantings - whew - pink and turquoise siding would be enough color without adding plants.
Dream on - there is no way to make it lighter other than bleaching it or washing it a thousand times and hope it doesn't fall apart. Learn to live with the color.
On forgetful one: save the seeds from your overripe plants to be used next year. Zuchinis can be grated and frozen for use over winter. You can also freeze or can the tomatoes to be used for many things. Trash the cucumbers, they don't freeze well and are too large to be pickled.
