You moved to a place near a military installation, uhm, people live and hang out near where they work. You may be surprised to find cowboys near ranches too. You should remember to thank them for your freedom some time.

I was wondering if someone could recommend a great hiking/backpacking boot that has 8 to 10 inches of ankle support. Also, I would like it to be all leather. No Gortex. I have read that Danner and Lowa are good choices. Does anyone have any other good recommendations?
