    if you get an elevation certificate do you have to use it for insurance if the

    property is lower than the map? If your elevation is lower than the fema FIRM are you required to show it to the insurance company causing an extreem rise in flood insurance premiums or if you pay for it can you keep it for your own private records? This is in the greater New Orleans area.
