The max watts on those subs are pretty low, you would be safe running any brand as long as it doesn't exceed 300 watts. I've owned one before and I had a boss 250 on it and it performed fine.

Both very good brands plus they both have very good subs and amps. If your talking amps I would go with rockford just based on quality and with subs its a toss up.
