I had the exact same thing happen to me when trying to install the 40.2.005 firmware for product code 0574994. The thin lines with different colors always happens when installing firmware on the Nokia 5800. It happens when there's only a few seconds left according to Nokia Software Updater...

lol well I guess they need a couple of disasters in a row.

I would like to ask a question to those who own(ed) the 5800-from what I see with the N97, the lock slider is extremely important. What is the verdict on it's durability?

Phonescoop: E71 E66 (for those who might care) I had heard that the E71-3 had frequencies for T-Mobile-USA 3G, but I don't see WCDMA-1700 in its list (neither on Nokia's specs, nor on phonescoop's specs). Anyone know what's up with the E71-3 and T-Mo support? Also, I see on Nokia's site...

One of the most disturbing films I can remember from being a kid. Definitely the stuff of nightmares! I don't remember it being as bad as the review lets on but hell, I haven't seen it since 1994.
