    How to turn off sound for Email+IM App in Virgin Mobile (Kyocera Loft)?

    I have a Kyocera Loft with Virgin Mobile and for some reason, even when I have the volume off in the main menu, when I start up Email+IM the volume turns on by itself. It is really annoying because it will make a sound if I get an e-mail/im alert. How do I turn this off? Thanks
