Not necessarily, but it might make a difference to the way we discuss them.
While many of us have thick skins and can cope with the snarling wolf den that is R&S, some people can't and need to be treated a bit more gently. We just have to judge each case accordingly.
Or just by being handed down and accepted unquestioningly from some source, religious or otherwise?
If the former, how can personal taste be distinguished from public ethics?
If the latter, how can this fit in with co-existence with other opinions?

How did the snake learn that language?
Is it likely that the snake was able to talk to other snakes or animals using the same language?
