They will need to be in a mp3 format. Just plug in the USB cord and install the provided software and it should help you through the process.
Also, if you are running a SD card you can actually just use your computer and drag and drop files into the music folder on your SD card.
Definitely take it in to Verizon and have them look at it. If you have insurance I'm sure they will replace it for you. But they will be able to figure it out much faster and easier than we will.
