    amp(300ish) that would power it? 4 ohms 1000 peak/ 500 rms and another question, when you have a 4 ohm sub how do you use a 1 ohm amp, i never understood that. like wiring or hook up. how does it work?

    I have a kicker cvr 15 with a SSL STA216 amp that is 1600 bridged and 800 x

    2 at 2 ohms and my sub is 1000/500? And is 4 ohms and my amp goes into protection mode when the bass gets loud? Anyone no why? Something to do with amount of watts of ohms?
