I am so confused with the intake/exhaust lift sizes for camshafts. I am building a chevy 350 (small block 1st gen) that will have factory heads and I want a high performance cam and like the rough idle. The engine will be a daily driver. How do I determine how much lift I want???

sounds like somethings sticking in your carb. take the carb off the engine and either take it apart and clean all the pieces individually-or if you are not capable of that, buy a can of Carb+Choke cleaner and spray it down, spray all passages and moving parts

the casting number on my engine is M11119VP I know the M means its from GM of Mexico and I believe that means it is a crate engine, I also know what the numbers mean (date) but I can not figure out what the 9VP suffix code means????
