It matters very little what your college major is when applying to law schools. Law schools look at 1-LSAT scores 2-college quality/GPA 3- extra curricular activities. If you switch to phys ed, just make sure that you're chairman of the department, ok? Good luck.

I don't know the law in your state but there's a concept called "abandoned property." The law will set out the time frame when the original owner loses his rights. Putting aside the law, why not bring it back to your friend (?) especially if it's inconvencing you?
