    What is the best type of course to do for photography for home studio only?

    If you already know how to take pics, and are good at it, I'd focus more on business classes. It will help you know how to start up a business, run it successfully, legal and tax aspects, etc.

    Check and see if the community college offers any continuing education courses. These are basically non-graded "classes" that don't offer any credit at all. Usually they are offered nights and weekends - so you might check on that.
