I have a 2000 dodge dakota v6 3.9 ltr and i am looking at customizing my own single straight pipe for it but im not sure if i should cut it of right before the muffler and go straight from there or should i cut the cat off i don't want it to loud but i want it to sound good. Any suggestions?

yesterday my alpine 10" type r started smoking really bad and then shut off. i looked inside of it and the voice coil is good but the sub wont make any noise at all is it blown or did the glue inside of it melt

the ten inch type r sub is amazing, this sub hits harder than any 10 on the shelves. but my question is does anyone know if the sub has some type of resin or seal inside of it that burns when it overheats? when i got my 10 my brother and i drove across town and back whick is like a 3 hour drive...
