Yes, but they aren't nearly as bad as they used to be. It seems to be more people looking for opinions on their stories, people asking you to do their homework for them, and people looking for book recommendations.
I actually liked the movie more. The ending was better and much less of a cop out. i was proud of the movie writers. They did exactly what Picoult should have done- killed off Kate and made Anna's decision to sue her parents matter.

She decided to ruin the vampire genre by releasing a bad vampire book knowing it would become popular and spawn thousands of other bad vampire books. By doing so it would eventually destroy the genre.
