you can always incorporate amp placement with the box. i like the subwoofer box before mounting my amplifiers. if your looking for some nice amps, you could always check woofersect.com . and they carry alot of good brands. like hifonics. as for subs the kickers will give you some punchy base...
I would try to disconnect the battery again , this just does not make any sense are you sure you have cd's in the deck if so try to fake insert 1 or just insert 1 more see what happends , let us know
I dont know where your best bet to go is but best coaxil component speaker for the price are alpine's type x , best subwoofer amp combo are a FI BTL with a Sundown saz3500 , good luck

the wiring and thing's wont be hard but finding the housing for the deck to fit the dash thats not going to be easy , best off getting it installed should cost about 75$ and then it's not really your problem. but more the installers job
depends on what you want ? if your just going to settle with whatever you can get for 3to5 bill's then you might not like the end results , best off getting a setup from alpine or Jl audio if you want entry level sounds that hit hard and stay crystal clear , for alot of bass you need more money...
