What do you mean it won't turn off? like the engine is still running when you take the key out? If yes, then your ignition switch in the steering column is bad. You will have to undo the negative battery terminal. or pull out the spark plugs.

I think you need to get a new one. check your wires, cause it sounds like there's a short or something.

Well, i think it's configured to kilometers. Yeah, theoretically you can just change it out, but I don't think it will be accurate as it's wired for KM/H. I would ask the dealer and see what they say. It may be simple, like changing a setting in the computer.

What kind of "fender bender"? If it was bad enough, it messed up the drivetrain and is telling the computer to not function correctly.
