They typically last about 20,000 miles in my experience. They are quiet, smooth, and clean compared to a chain. The only real downside is that there is no master link on a belt. Your swingarm is coming off before the belt goes on. I wouldn't bother converting a KZ440 to chain. 0 benefits really.
