Anyone with a higher level of education than average can make more of a difference in the world than the average person. It's not like we're short of education. And not necessarily only academic education. I think getting people to broaden their minds, and enrich themselves with knowledge...

Exactly right. Being gay/homosexual is being attracted sexually and romantically to the same sex. Period. And to add to Pippi's response, there are even straight people who fit that description, minus the gay bit.
