basically im getting a new aftermarket hood on my car because of damage caused in an accident. the hood that was on there was metal and only minorly damaged. can i take my old hood to like a metal scrap yard and get money for it?! i tried calling my local shops but they were closed and i needed...

do i need to buy the cable that says specifically for ground? or can i just use my left over wiring from the power cable to connect in the ground? is there a difference between the two cables?
