I love to cook, but I'm a lousy baker. I should have taken pastry classes in college, I don't have the knack for it like some people do. (And I love making a mess in the kitchen on weekends. Monday is my clean-up day.) :)
It's a little north of SF, but the Ceja tasting room in downtown Napa (First St.) has salsa dancing on Friday nights. There's no cover charge and it's a lot of fun.
We did all the time if we needed a stove which weren't allowed in our rooms. Nobody cared unless you burnt popcorn or made something with fish. One time a guy in our dorm (he was Asian) made dinner for about 9 of us in the lounge kitchen. He turned out something like 12 dishes for us all to...
I personally think you should just put them all out at the same time and be done with it. I know if I ate the hot buffet first, I wouldn't have room for the cold buffet later. Plus, I'm just more of a finger food person at wedding receptions, so I'm drooling over your cold buffet menu.

I personally don't care what other people drink. And some of us don't like sugary soda. When I decide to quit drinking for the night I'll order club soda and lime. I'm normally a beer drinker, so the club soda has all the fizz and no caffeine or sugar.

You know, when you don't feel like cooking that much. Ordering out is not optional. I have a frozen pizza in the freezer, a box of mac and cheese and a box of Hamburger Helper in the cupboard for those lazy nights.
What's your quick dinner for lazy nights?
This is super easy and tastes just like the restaurant version of Steak Oscar.
2 steaks of choice
2 packets of hollandaise sauce mix
1 can baby shrimp
1 can crab meat
1 bunch asparagus
Make steak however you know how. (Broil, grill, whatever.) Trim the asparagus and cut into 1" pieces...
My husband and I just discussed this. He would have asked the server for a new table. I say you should have asked the manager, not waitress, to speak to the couple and have one of them take the child outside until he/she is calm. Their food will still be there. I know if I would have thrown...
I just asked my husband who is from the South and a meat and taters guy. His first response was that there's nothing better than a grilled steak with a red wine reduction. He also said that it's common to saute spinach or collards or kale with wine.
I'd like a home dishwasher that works like a commercial dishwasher, the whole cycle only takes 2 minutes 45 seconds. Instead of waiting 2 HOURS.
A self-cleaning vent hood would be nice too. And a good organizational system for Gladware and other random tupperware-like things so...
