I have a Philips TV model 42PFL5522D. It just turned itself off and now I just get the red standby light flashes twice. No picture or sound. Have turned it off/on and held down the button on the remote and set for one minute. Any other suggestions?

Do the job right, or you will be doing it again next year. You need to remove the gloss either with sandpaper or chemical remover. They used to make a product called Liquid Sandpaper ask at your local paint/hardware store. ,
Ask your landlord to identify the different plants for you. Then look the plants up online. Your probably going to have to thin out a lot of the plants and put bark mulch down around the remaining ones. Cleaning up an established garden isn't that difficult. I'm willing to bet there are only 5...
It will not leach into the new coats of paint. Unless the paint starts to chip away lts best to let sleeping dogs lie. Never sand paint that you think has led in it, doing so will contaminate your house.
It sounds like the low sheen acrylic is showing through. You should of used liquid sandpaper on the ceiling to dull the finish, or used a stain killing primer like KILLZ.
