im kind a new to riding a multi speed bike. basically, i just ride in one gear i feel comfortable with on any terrIan.

i've bought my two youngest children their bikes, my step son his huffy, and my wife her beach cruiser all from walmart without any problems what so ever. but as i have been reading and researching about buying my new bike, i've read that buying a bike from that type of store is bad. why is that?
