My ipod (touch 2nd gen) was connected to the computer with a full battery and working in perfect order then all of a sudden it disconnected and turned off by itself, now it wont do anything at all even when i hold the power button. It is not jailbroken and is running ios 4.2 what do i do???

I have a 15.6" screen on my laptop with 1366x768 resolution and i would like to know what the ppi of the screen is, if nobody can tell me then pls let me know how to find it, thx :)
