    How do you copy an image into a layer on Photoshop?

    I'm trying to copy an image onto another layer if that makes sense. I have two photos right? I have one of an eye and one of an avocado. I want the avocado to be in the eyes reflection so I am trying to copy the avocado to the eye layers thing... How do I do this? It won't copy though!

    Photoshop won't let me copy an image into a layer?

    It just won't let me. It's unlocked but when I press control C it won't copy... or if I click the right hand it won't come up with the option to copy! What the hell.. this is annoying me! Can somebody please help? I really need the photo copied onto another layer (that has another photo).
