If thats too much, Dont get that phone. Its that simple. That 30 keeps you from having data overages of like 300. Its not required on ALL phones, just Smartphones. A smartphone is almost impossible to keep from using lots of data, and if you dont get the unlimited plan, each KB it sends costs...

Dian 1234, Push the blackberry Menu button, go into Options, General options, And make sure Active Line is set to Line 1 Battery Refresh (pull the battery out, without turning the phone off) and try it again. If it still doesnt work, Call Verizon.

Hero - CDMA (Sprint, Verizon etc etc) Magic, also called MyTouch - GSM (T-Mobile, AT&T) Hero is better in every way. But not by a huge difference. personally, I would go for the Magic. Its been out longer and iv seen less problems with it.
