    Are Green Spotted Puffer fish Compatible with these fish?

    A Clownfish or a Green Chromis (Scientific Name : Chromis viridis)? Also in a 40 gallon gallon tank. Thanks. OH and there is only one puffer.

    are jewel cichlids alright by themselves without any other fish?

    Of course you can! In fact I have a full Jewel Cichlid tank and have had it for 2 years and my Jewels have been doing just great and even have bred. :)

    Is it safe to just toss fish into your tank after buying them?

    They will be fine but you should put them in their bags into the tank for about 15 minutes so they can get used to the temperature.
