My verizon wireless phone has water damage? Can I get a different phone?

okay so my blackberry bold has water damage, and i absolutely hate this phone! i really like the droid 2 global or whatever its called. Will Verizon let me switch to that phone? i realize you have to pay money, but around how much? any suggestions or details about what happens with water damage?

Depends on the phone you want, however I would say they will ask you to pay 100% of the new phone value. As soon as it's determined that water damage was the cause, provided usually washes the hands.

Don't expect any rebate as it will not be forthcoming.
