I want to see the Valentino movie, I saw a clip that I thought was adorable between Valentino and his lover Giammetti.

They were talking about where they met, and Giammetti is very positive that it's next to this one place and he gives all these reasons. He exits out of the camera eye looking very sure of himself. And then Valentino is like, "I'm sorry I remember it being a bar across the street."

I laughed because that reminds me of so many other couples who have been together for a long time and they can't agree on the facts of how met. These two really are an old married couple who have a great love and respect for each other.

It's added. Thanks for pointing that out.

RoswellCutie86 - slash is a fandom word for gay. It ussually implies males while fem-slash usually implies females. slash could still mean either, but it is homosexual for sure. slashy just means that it's gay and I just totally went over board.

ANGELforBUFFY - Velvet Goldmine is the story of the rise and fall of glam rocker Brian Slade (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) who right before his fall faked his own death. The story is pretty much told from the perspective and research of an everyman reporter Arthur Stewart (Christian Bale) who was coming to terms with his own sexuality as Brian was on the rise. Ten years after Brian faked his own death Stewart is asked to research his rise and fall and basically do a 'where is he now' type piece. During his rise Brian, while married, has a love interest in peer glam rocker Curt Wild (Ewan McGregor). Most fans acknowlege that Curt's basically based off Iggy Pop, while Brian is based off David Bowie. I've actually seen it descibed as a film fanfiction piece. Oscar Wilde is briefly brought into it, they're's also a spaceship, a pin that is passed from 'star' to 'star' and a few references to Citizen Kane. Oh and one of my favorite parts is that in the Death to Glitter concert Brian Molko from Placebo plays 'Malcolm' the lead singer of 'The Flaming Creatures'. :D S.A.S.H.A. posted a link to some pics earlier in this thread and they're actually some good fanfic on the movie.

more on 'the gift'....a cnn interview with the director and creator of the film.....click on the press coverage, then cnn live link....

I have a question on Walk On Water, is the only gay character the grandson? Or do the grandson and the agent start a romantic relationship?

I watch the trailer that was posted here and have read articles giving it good reviews It looks like a great film and I do want to see it, only problem it's playing at an independent theater far away. Hopefully I can find a way to get there and see it.

The grandson looks like an interesting character, every review I read has written about him as a good person.

anyone for clothes?

life styles of the rich and famous?

'valentino: the last emperor' has it all.....based upon the recommendation of a girlfriend i saw this documentary today in a theater.....all i can say is that it's a very cool and interesting film about women's fashion and the fashion designer, valentino.....valentino and his lover have been together for over 40 years....there like an old married couple who like to bicker, know each other very, when to talk and not to talk and love each other very much.

"Watching the movie is a little like gorging on chocolate and champagne until that queasy moment arrives when you realize you’ve consumed far too much. The handheld camera follows the designer and his lover/business partner/constant companion Giancarlo Giammetti as they workshop and present a collection for Paris fashion week, then prepare for a three day celebration of Valentino’s 45th anniversary in fashion."

I want to see Loving Annabelle! It's on my to-watch list

I have seen The Priest when it first came out years ago. Mostly because there were protests in Poland when it hit the movies and since I was in my rebelious teenagehood I enjoyed going inside the cinema while all these priests and old hypocrites were praying and chanting outside :evil_lol:

here's a link to the ucla film and television archive....i didn't really explore it that much...because i'm getting ready to go out the door....on my way to work.......perhaps on that site you'll be able to find out more about the films that are going to be archived....
