Zoo Tycoon 2 - Trainers Cheat Crashes the game?

I have tried serveral pizzadox trainers from different websites and the asx-zt2. The same thing happens after I download, unzip them into file and run the trainer - the game crashes everytime I hit the key to use the cheat. There is no error message, it just dies. I use Vista. Does this happen to anyone else and is there a way to fix it?
