Z520a with Cingular questions

hello everyone.

I just bought a new Sony Z520a phone with cingular service. I really like the phone except for a couple very annoying things. The first is that the display screen goes to black to quickly. Is there any way to lenghten the time it takes for the screen to go black?

Second, the reception on this phone, espcially in my house seems to teeter back and forth between great reception and poor reception seemingly with no rhyme or reason even when the phone is held in the same exact spots for long periods of time. Does anyone know the cause of this?

This phone is really on the edge of being a great phone, but because of a few none adjustable features and the sometimes crazy acting reception Id only have to rate this phone at slightly above average.

I have had the same phone for about two weeks now and I love it. I agree about the phone screen going black quickly. With my previous phone (motorola v551) I could set the time before the screen went black. I don't believe there is a way to do that with this phone. I could be mistaken though.....
 
hmm, i think you have to adjust the brightness or something in order for it not to do that, mine stays fine for a while

- It's a loop antenna, so it's a bit sensitive, even when you touch it. But even though you're looking at the indicator, and the bars go from low to high and vice versa, you still get good reception.
 
Actually when I get 2 bars or less I find that calls get very choppy. Even though the bars are usually going back between 1 and 4 bars constantly.

It's frustrating at times.
