z510 Unbranded Firmware

Hi, I am new to the whole flashing scene and am wondering if there is a completely original, unbranded firmware for the sgh-z510. I have just done my first flash using Z510AIEL2_FB5 and all went well, although I freaked at first because everything came up in italian, but once I changed it to english all was well.

This firmware is much better than what I had but there are still a couple of 'branded' areas that I would like to get rid of, for instance the phone is now configured with a few different connection settings which I am obviously not going to use considering I am in Australia and these cannot be deleted. Apart from these relatively small issues I am very happy with it.

So if anyone out there has a completely unbranded firmware (or even a modified one that has no branding left in it) for this phone I would greatly appreciate it if you would share it with the rest of us.

I have also found the Z510AIEL2_FC1 firmware, is it any better than the one mentioned earlier?

Also, if anyone knows of any software tools and or tutorials on how to modify the firmware myself I would be interested in that also.

Pretty much the same story with me... first time changing anything in a phone (damn you Telstra).

Any luck finding a newer version of firmware with zero branding?

I have pretty much given up on the idea of a completly unbranded firmware, I have been looking for a couple of days and haven't even come close to it.

I am now looking for some info about how to modify existing firmware so that I can try and remove the obvious signs of branding such as operator logos and on/off/sim animations as well as super locked content and preconfigured network settings. If I can find a way to remove these things I will be happy.

I know I can use Z510_RscEx and Brew tools to modify the animations and pretty much any graphic, I could even use this to modify the super locked content so that it is at least what I want it to be, but it would still be named according to the original locked content names which is a bummer but still, it would allow me to "hide" the branding a bit more. My biggest problem is getting rid of the preconfigured network settings.

I don't suppose you know anything about this? or maybe someone who might?

Hi there also in oz i flashed mine and stufed up and phone dead having it replaced. shhhh dont tell any one. any how i didget it to work but had the italian prob and couldnt change it to english thats when i flashed it again and stuft up. can you tell me 1) how do you change it from ita to eng. 2)what fetures do you lose its on telstra I hate them with a passion. Thanks
 
I have the unbranded firmware.... if anyone would tell me how to extract the firmware to pc... please share with us..
